You’re welcome, animation basics is also pretty important too like squash and stretch, anticipation, pose to pose animation etc.

As a dude who religiously watches game dev logs and game design tip vids. You'll never know if a game is fun or not until after you get it play tested. This is also from experience too, making games is a very experimental process.
You constantly have to keep remaking things over and over again until something finally clicks.
As for advice you might want to start upping your spriting game, it looks pretty rudimentary.
To do that you have to learn the fundamentals of art.
Learn how to shade, learn the point perspectives, cast shadows, anatomy, proportions, construction, color theory etc.
It's all on search engines and Youtube if you look.
